This week’s Drop is Lucia's Guatemala, a single-origin coffee from DOMA Coffee Roasting Company in Post Falls, ID.

The team at DOMA has spent almost 10 years working with K-Finos in Guatemala and this accessible dark roast reflects that long relationship.

During their travels to the farm, the team cups the fresh crop to find the ideal match for this profile—full-bodied with a mild acidity and light, sugary sweetness. A subtle brightness unfolds with notes of warming spices, cocoa and dried fruit.

🌎 Origin: Guatemala

🔬 Variety: Bourbon, Catuai, Caturra, Pache, and San Ramon

Brewed this up this morning and it has this incredible smoothness with just a hint of brightness that I love in a single-origin. The fact it comes from a decade-long partnership really shows in the consistent quality.

Alexander C. ★★★★★

Finally got around to brewing this and the smooth finish caught me off guard — no bitterness at all, just rich cocoa notes. The fact that DOMA has been working with those Guatemalan growers for almost a decade really comes through in the cup.

Brian Q. ★★★★★

I love the deep, complex flavor this single-origin Guatemalan coffee brings to my morning routine—it's noticeably smoother than most beans I've tried. The aroma alone fills the kitchen with a rich, earthy scent that makes waking up worth it.

Hannah ★★★★★

I brew it as a pour-over, and the stone-fruit brightness really cuts through—almost like a sweet-tart finish that lingers. The beans were roasted just a few days before I got them, so the freshness was unmistakable.

Adam ★★★★★

Each cup has this silky chocolate body that lingers without turning bitter, which is exactly what I look for. It’s become my go-to morning ritual, and the bags have stayed fresh through the whole week.

Sophia ★★★★★

Opened the bag and the aroma hit me immediately—rich and chocolatey. Brewed a pour-over and got a really smooth, clean cup with no bitterness at all. Will be ordering this again before the next drop sells out.

Michael ★★★★★

Tried this in my French press and the caramel notes really came through without any bitterness. A solid morning cup that I’m already looking forward to finishing the bag.

George C. ★★★★★

Just brewed a cup this morning and the caramel finish is smooth without being too sweet. Clean feel on the palate, and it holds up well even as it cools down.

Sophia ★★★★★

The chocolatey notes hit me right away—way smoother than my usual morning brew. I love that it's a single-origin, and it brews up clean without any bitterness. Perfect for a slow Saturday morning.

Chloe ★★★★☆

This roast has a nice balance—smooth enough for my morning mug but with a hint of brightness that wakes me up. Brewed a V60 batch and got a clean finish without any bitterness.
