Cirka 2 000 småskaliga bönder skickar sina körsbär för bearbetning vid Kainamui-fabriken, belägen i Kirinyaga County på sluttningarna av Mount Kenya. Detta kaffe genomgick Kenyas dubbla tvättprocess där körsbären efter tvätt läggs i blötningstankar i 24 timmar, vilket gör att aminosyror och proteiner i varje böna utvecklas, vilket resulterar i mer syra och komplexa fruktsmaker. Vi smakade en syltig kopp med bär, grapefrukt och stenfrukt.
