Cherry Pick comes from Ratnagiri Estate in the Bababudangiri region, family-owned by the Patre family since 1927. Third-generation grower Ashok Patre shade-grows the cherries alongside pepper and cardamom at 1,200 meters. The cherries go through a meticulous anaerobic natural fermentation in stainless steel tanks, locking in the stone-fruit sweetness and syrupy body that defines this lot.

Brewed my first cup this morning and the smooth, almost creamy mouthfeel really stood out—can definitely taste the care that went into shade-growing these cherries. It’s a complex, satisfying sip for a quiet weekend morning.

The pepper and cardamom notes from the interplanting really come through in the cup — it’s a clean, complex morning brew. First time trying a shade-grown coffee from India, and I’m pleasantly surprised by the smooth finish.

The peach-like acidity is so bright and clean, it makes my morning pour-over feel totally different from any other single-origin I've tried. Even the dry grounds smell like stone fruit mixed with a hint of sun-warmed earth.

Used a French press for this one and the clarity of flavor really stood out—bright but not acidic, with a subtle spice note that must come from the pepper trees it’s grown alongside. Smooth enough to drink black, which is rare for me.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from a naturally processed coffee, but the balance of creamy body with that subtle jammy sweetness is spot-on. The pepper and cardamom interplanting really comes through in the finish—it's complex without being overwhelming.

The cherry notes are surprisingly sweet, not tart, and it brews such a smooth cup that I’ve stopped adding sugar. The fact that it’s shade-grown alongside pepper adds a subtle complexity I didn’t expect. Definitely a new favorite for my morning routine.

This coffee has a really clean, almost tea-like finish that I wasn't expecting from a natural process. I brewed it as a pour-over and could taste a hint of the pepper and spice from the terroir. It's a nice change from the usual fruit bombs.

The purple hue of the roasted beans is beautiful, and the finish is surprisingly clean with a hint of black pepper. It brews beautifully as a pour-over, lasting smooth and complex in my mug.

I was curious about the shade-growing method with pepper plants, and the coffee definitely has a unique, mild complexity because of it. Brewed a pour-over and got a clean finish with just a hint of fruitiness.

The coffee has a nice, mellow acidity that works well for my morning pour-over, though the bag doesn’t have a resealable zipper. I had to transfer it to a canister after the first few days. Still, the flavor is smooth and clean.
