Gitare AB is produced by its namesake, Gitare, a washing station established in 1954 that belongs to the Kimaratia Farmers Co-operative Society. It’s uniquely embedded within a tea-growing zone, and sources its water from the nearby River Theta.

This coffee was air-freighted by Regalia a month after harvest to preserve its peak freshness. A beautiful representation of Kenyan coffee, this washed light-roast opens up beautifully with notes of pomegranate, dark chocolate–covered fig, plum, and lychee.

Avery ★★★★★

The fact that this coffee comes from a washing station that’s been around since 1954 and sits right in a tea-growing zone really came through in the cup—it’s got a smooth, almost tea-like clarity that I wasn’t expecting. I’ve brewed it both as pour-over and in my moka pot, and it holds up beautifull

George ★★★★★

I was curious how a coffee grown in a tea-growing zone would taste, and it's wonderfully smooth with a subtle, almost floral note that makes mornings feel special.
