Gekkou, som betyder månsken, är ett skuggbryggt matcha med mjuka, blågröna tenchablad. Det produceras av familjen Nishide, där tre generationer arbetar sida vid sida, och mals långsamt med stenkvarn i egen regi. Resultatet är en len, silkeslen matcha med toner av chawanmushi (välsmakande äggcustard), mandelkaka och hasselnötspralin.
