The washed process really lets the florals shine through—my whole kitchen smelled like jasmine while it brewed. It’s easily the most delicate, tea-like cup I’ve had from Africa, and I can’t stop going back for another sip.
The floral notes really come through in the cup—it’s like a jasmine tea and coffee hybrid. I was surprised how clean and bright the wash process makes it, even as my brew cooled down. This is exactly the kind of ethereal, delicate coffee I’d hoped for.
I’ve brewed a lot of washed Ethiopians, but this one’s cup is remarkably clean and bright—that classic Yirgacheffe floral lift carries through from the dry grounds to the last sip. The community-grown story adds a nice touch, and it’s become my go-to morning pour-over.
